Today my yahoo email sent out emails to everyone on my contact list and I didnt send it, what do I do?

I think its a virus, but Im not sure. Is it my computer or a Yahoo thing? What should I do?

it is a virus/worm you really need to run an anti virus program in the safe mode to access the most files. Anytime you even think it is a virus, you need to take action. start, run, type in msconfig, at the boot ini. tab. select safe mode, and click the internet box, it will boot in safe, run the program, then back to msconfig, select the original boot, it will boot back up in normal. there is a malware removal tool , it is in start, run, type mrt, this will check for malware installed.
Reply:Yup that sounds like a worm virus you will need to find out what the worm is exactly before you can fix it.





So Update your anti virus and do a full system scan in safe mode to be safe. If you don't have an anti virus program then get one.





Once scanned look for the virus name and search again for removal instructions for your specific worm/virus.

Run a virus scan just in case something got on your computer and stole your password. After that, change the password on your account. IF you find any viruses, remove them and then change the passwords on all accounts you own.

Do an anti-virus scan, and change your password.
